My Story

Amela holds a degree in Art History and Communication Design from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her twenty years of experience in marketing and publishing industries has made her a proven problem-solver with ability to carry multiple projects from inception to completion.

Amela has had the privilege to work at such notable places as Christie's, Assouline, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Time Inc and NYC Department of Information and Technology. Her extensive experience includes creating visual identities and designing print marketing campaigns for industries as diverse as an auction house, a toy company, a publishing house, a restaurant group, a magazine and a fashion retailer. Most notably, Amela was responsible for creating the visual identity and design of the catalog and all printed marketing materials for a famous Christie's auction that sold Picasso's Les Femmes d'Alger. The work achieved a record price as the most expensive art piece ever sold at an auction. She has initiated and organized an art festival entitled ArtNOVUM and was responsible for creating and producing the festival's website, large-scale banners and posters, T-shirts, tote bags, lot cards, program and other marketing materials. Her work for The Cheesecake Factory included designing a comprehensive style guide, menus and gift cards.

Amela is highly skilled in designing books, catalogs, magazines, posters, brochures, product packaging, ads, social media pages, restaurant menus, web graphics, etc. She also has a keen eye for art directing photography.
